LiveKit Agents (real-time voice agents)

It is the base for building your own voice receptionist: the agent listens, detects when the person has finished talking so it does not interrupt, calls tools through MCP, and can receive or place phone calls. For an agency the question is when to use it instead of the Voice AI that GoHighLevel already includes: when the client needs logic the builder does not allow, or data that lives outside the CRM. The hidden cost: the framework is free, but every call pays its providers for speech to text, the model and text to speech, plus telephony. It needs Python and someone to maintain it.
