GHL Updates

Git Sync in AI Studio and new WhatsApp templates in HighLevel

October 16, 2026

Product updates

  • October 15: WhatsApp gets a rebuilt template builder with a live phone preview. Dynamic media headers accept custom fields (image, video or document) that resolve per contact at send time, so one approved template serves invoices, tickets or personalized images. The value must be a public HTTPS URL that Meta can download; an empty or private field makes the send fail. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 15: The limited time offer WhatsApp template arrives: a countdown WhatsApp draws inside the message, a discount code that copies with one tap and a URL button. The expiry is set on each send, so one approved template runs several campaigns without going back through Meta approval. Meta requires both buttons and accepts sends with an expiry that has already passed, which show as expired in the chat. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 15: Gift card communications (purchase confirmation, recipient emails and SMS) are translated into the selected language, and the previews in the send flow reflect it. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 14: From the sub-accounts list you can enable or disable features for several sub-accounts at once with the Update features button. Changes are queued, take about 2 to 5 minutes and can be followed in Bulk Actions History. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 14: Workflows adds the Add Internal Comment action, which posts an internal comment in the conversation when the workflow runs, with mentions of team members, without sending anything to the customer. Source: HighLevel changelog.

AI updates

  • October 15: AI Studio adds Git Sync with GitHub. Connect an account (More, Git) and it creates a private repository named after the project, pushes every saved version and pulls every commit made outside AI Studio, with a fresh preview. It works with React (Vite) and TanStack Start projects, syncs only the connected branch, and commits show up as GHL AI Studio. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • Git Sync comes with the Manage Git & download code permission, on by default for every role; agency admins can remove it per user in Settings, Team, Permissions, AI Studio. Pushes are scanned for secrets (AWS, GitHub, Stripe and OpenAI keys, and private keys) and blocked if one is found. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 15: The AI Studio Payments checkout lets you show, hide or require the phone and each billing address field, turn on a two-step checkout that saves the contact before payment, and show the full order summary after payment. With the two-step checkout, new contacts fire the Contact Created trigger, not Order Form Submission. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 14: AI Studio builds native HighLevel chat widgets (Live Chat or Email Chat) into apps, using the site's colors and fonts; every message lands in Conversations and leads per widget show in More, Analytics, Chat Widgets. Voice, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram widgets are not available in AI Studio yet. Source: HighLevel changelog.

Errors and status notices

  • October 16: Resolved incident in Voice AI: agents could not answer live calls from around 8:45 UTC, after a deployment. HighLevel's initial investigation pointed to a missing import that broke the connection to a third-party provider, and the incident was resolved the same day. Source: HighLevel status page.
  • October 14: Platform-wide outage of usage-based products, now resolved: Wallet, voice billing, Conversational AI, domain purchases, AI Studio, AI Agents and workflow executions. Marketplace was the last service to come back. Source: HighLevel status page.

Compliance and phone

  • October 16: Call tracking on number pools labels the ad platform better: calls from Facebook ads show as Facebook Paid, and calls from TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft (Bing) ads are labeled too, as are Google ads clicked inside an app; links with utm_medium=cpc show the platform plus Paid and visits from ChatGPT get their own source. It applies to new calls only and needs no setup. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • October 16: Number pool calls can ring up to 6 users at once, and each one answers on the device they prefer (web, mobile, desk phone or their own number). Turn it on in the pool settings with Ring Incoming Call to selected Users. Source: HighLevel changelog.

What to do today

  • Before turning on the two-step checkout in AI Studio Payments, review the workflows: the new contact fires Contact Created, not Order Form Submission. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • Before connecting Git Sync on a client project, decide which users keep the Manage Git & download code permission, because it comes on for every role. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • When moving a WhatsApp template to dynamic media, check that the custom field holds a public HTTPS URL on every contact; an empty value or a private link makes the send fail. Source: HighLevel changelog.
  • Review number pool call reports after this change: the Facebook Paid label appears on new calls only, so a comparison with previous weeks mixes two labeling schemes. Source: HighLevel changelog.
