Summary

Daily bot that crosses what is resonating in your niche with the topics you care about, and leaves 3 to 5 ideas of what to write today.

Content

The friction of writing is almost never the writing: it is deciding what to write about. Each morning this bot leaves you a short list of topics that are already resonating and that also fit you, and it stops there: it does not draft and it does not publish. ## By the numbers - **3 to 5 ideas** per morning, not twenty. A long list is one more decision to put off. - Each idea comes with **a one-line why now**, because a topic with no moment is a topic for any day, which means for none. - **It drafts nothing.** Its only job is to take the decision off your plate. ## The prompt ``` Set up a new bot with a daily run. Guide me to connect my sources (my blog, my newsletter, the accounts I follow or the folder where I keep notes), and then configure it: 1. Look at what is resonating in my niche and in what I have published myself. 2. Cross that with the topics I really care about. 3. Send me 3 to 5 article or newsletter ideas I could write today, each with: the angle, a one-line why now, and who it helps. 4. If I already wrote an idea, tell me and link me to my piece instead of proposing it again. 5. You draft nothing. You publish nothing. You only take the decision off me. Ask me about my topics, my audience and my history, so the ideas fit me and not just anyone. Send ONE briefing so I can judge whether the signal is useful, and save it there. ``` ## What to change before using it - **The sources.** The original reads X. If your audience is in Facebook groups or on YouTube, point it there: the signal is where your people are. - **Point 4.** It is the one that stops it from proposing the same topic every week. The original does not have it. - **The no-drafting rule.** Keep it. A bot that also drafts will tempt you to publish without thinking, and that is where the voice gets lost. ## Frequently asked questions **Why not let it draft too?** Because they are two different jobs. Deciding what to write is strategy; drafting is execution. A bot that does both hands you text you did not choose. **Does it work if I publish once a week?** Yes, but switch it to a weekly run. A daily briefing you do not use turns into noise and you end up ignoring it. **How do I keep it from repeating ideas?** With point 4 of the prompt: have it check your history and link you to your own piece instead of proposing it again. ## Credit Adapted from [Article Idea Briefing](https://botdirectory.ai/bots/article-idea-briefing/) by `kevinace`, from the [botdirectory.ai](https://botdirectory.ai) directory (MIT, Copyright 2026 Inbox Zero Inc.). Our version opens the sources beyond X (blog, newsletter, YouTube, groups), fixes the range at 3 to 5 ideas with a one-line why now, and adds the history check so it does not propose a topic you already wrote.
